Herdenking 70 jaar Kristallnacht
 AMSTERDAM 9 november 2008 - Oud-minister van Binnenlandse Zaken Ed van Thijn was zondagavond, tijdens de de herdenking van de Kristallnacht, één van de eerste sprekers tijdens de Kristallnachtherdinking in Amsterdam. De Kristallnacht welke op 9 novembert 1938, dus 70 jaar geleden, de Shoah, de Holocaust inluidde is de nacht tijdens welke in Duitsland honderden synagogen in brand werden gestoken en duizenden Joodse winkels werden vernield en geplunderd.

Yes we can!
Yes we will and yes they did. With a magnificent victory Barack Obama will become the 44th president of the United States of America, a well deserved win and one that moved a lot of people to tears. People danced in the streets, wept, some silently whispering prayers and most of all celebrated a day that many believed they would never see. The day that a black man was elected president.

KaosPilots
The unconventional Business School
Kaospilots originated in Århus, Denmark in the early nineties and is, the very least to say, an unconventional Business School. The KaosPilots landed in Rotterdam about one year ago. Their website does not lack in self confidence. It starts off with the title. "Best school for the world!" and "The 1st year is over! We have selected a new Team 2! So we are here to stay!", which begs the question, are the proclaimations true? Are they staying?.

Aboutaleb bezoekt arbeidsparticipatieproject Gorinchem
GORINCHEM, 27 oktober 2008 - Staatssecretaris Ahmed Aboutaleb bracht maandagmiddag een werkbezoek aan Gorinchem. Het bezoek stond in het teken van een project van de Regionale Sociale Dienst en het CWI om niet-uitkeringsgerechtigden (NUG-ers) aan een baan te helpen.

Toastmasters
Not-for-profit public speaking skill improvement
Toastmasters is a weird sounding name if you happen not to be a native English speaker. The first notion is probably that what pops out of your toaster in the morning. If, however you are more of a socialite you may then link the word Toast with the well known after-dinner speaking engagements, or any events where a speech is given before or during the main occasion.
